LINE ARRAY

The PLA-series Line array speakers are all based on the same ideas and design, with very special waveguides and soundguides,
not only for the drivers, but also for the woofers, enabling the array to have a controled vertical and horisontal dispersion pattern,
over a wider range of frequencies, with different horisontal and vertical dispersion pattern depending of the model.
The PLA-series are avaliable in bi-amplified, passive and self-powered active versions,
CLF-files and FIR filters are avaliable for download.

PLA-Series True Line array systems PRESENTATION We have come a long way since the Line array era started, though line source speakers are nothing new in itself, column speakers has been around for almost as long as the amplified loudspeaker. In the last decade or two, a giant leap in control, dispersion, SPL and quality has been made. Using the -3dB for each doubling of distance and coupling of speakers vs frequency, we can today manufacture soundsystems we only dreamt of 20 years ago. where advanced acoustical 3D simulations in colaboration with extended field-testing are both parts of the developing process. As with all our loudspeakers, we can supply advanced 3D measured files, to import into any 3D acoustic simulation software, such as Ease, Catt, Odeon, this helps to predict dispersion, SPL and frequency responce in each installation long before the actual installation is done. This ensures an accuracy and perfection in installations not possible before. The PROPHON PLA-series of Line source array modules are fitted with cutting edge technology, we have used only the very latest in design and acoustic theories, and only the best components avaliable in drivers, waveguide, amplifiers, DSP´s and transducers have been used. We have then packed it in user-friendly cabinets with smart rigging hardware. Wether using for live aplications in the tour industry or installing in theatres, churches, live stages, consert halls, convention centres or sports arenas, a Line Array from Prophon will give you all the advantages of a true Line Array, with a controled dispersion pattern, perfect line array coupling, unsurpassed dynamics, extremely low distortion and a flat frequency responce. There are sixsizes (models) in the PLA-series, PLA621, PLA2611 MK2, PLA2821, PLA21021, PLA2124631 and PLA215S array subwoofer PLA2124631, PLA2821 and PLA2611 are avaliable in active (self-powered) version and passive (Bi-amplified) version, the passive versions need our external 19'' rackmounted DSP -systems amplifiers or systems DSP-processors, all our dsp-amplifiers and DSP processors have settings for PLA-series Line array speakers for download and integration. The PLA2124631 is also avaliable in cardioid 4-way version The PLA21010 and PLA621 are only avaliable in passive version, where a sophisticated, deticated passive crossover network are integrated in the speaker, with a passive 8 ohm input, using external 19'' systems DSP-amplifiers, with FIR-filters For fixed arcitectural installations, white or any RAL color is avaliable
PLA621 with one 6,5'' neodymium midrange woofer and two drivers mounted on waveguide and horn, the PLA621 is a very compact Line array speaker designed for fixed installation and tour applications. Due to the low weight and compact size in combination with high sensitivity and high max SPL, the PLA621 is perfect for installation in conference centres, theatres, churches, small live stages, audiotoriums, etc. with 2-way passive design using deticated passive crossover networks for optimal phase responce and frequency control, with any of our FIR systems DSP amplifiers the PLA621 delivers a phase coherent flat frequency responce.	PLA2611 with two 6,5'' neodymium woofers mounted on seperate 110 degree dispersion-guides and one 1'' neodymium driver mounted on a 110x15 dispersional waveguide. Avaliable active, self-powered with 650W amplifier (500W + 150W) and DSP with FIR, AES, network capabilities, eight presets for different setups and uses, the possibility to connect up to 255 speakers in a network using the GUI software PRO-net, for grouping, setting individual delay, gain and IIR EQ points for room acousticts and systems integration. The passive bi-amplified version features 8 ohm input, with dedicated passive crossover network inside, using the external 19" DSP systems-amplifier with custom FIR-filters, network, several presets depending on setup and use, with an abundance of user-settings such as delay, gain, EQ (IIR)phase.	PLA2821 Fitted with two 8'' neodymium woofers mounted on seperate 120 degree dispersion-guides and two 1'' neodymium drivers mounted on 120x7,5 dispersional waveguides. Avaliable in active, self-powered versions with 2 x 500W amplifier and on-board DSP, sold in pairs, with one master and one slave.Also avaliable passive with 8 ohm input and dedicated passive crossover network, using the external 19" DSP systems-amplifier with custom FIR-filters, network, several presets depending on setup and use, with an abundance of user-settings such as delay, gain, EQ (IIR) phase.	PLA21021 Fitted with two 10" neodymium woofers mounted on seperate 110 degree dispersion-guides and two 1" neodymium drivers mounted on waveguides, with built-in passive crossover, and 8 ohm fullrange input. All hardware are integrated in the cabinet, with pop-out array hardware for connecting in array PLA21021 is powered by using the external 19" DSP systems-amplifier with custom FIR-filters, network, several presets depending on setup and use, with an abundance of user-settings such as delay, gain, EQ (IIR) phase.
		PLA2124631 This massive line array is avaliable in three versions 1) 3-way passive bi-amplified, using two amplifier channels, where MF/HF features dedicated passive crossover network 2) 3-way active, with 1500W + 750W + 750W DSP controled class-D amplifiers with presets, network, AES and DANTE option 3) Cardioid version, 4-way with additional two 8" drivers mounted in the back for cancelling out unwanted LF frequencies on stage and behind the line arrayfitted with 2x12" woofers for LF, 4 x 6,5" drivers for MF, and 3 x 1" drivers with 1,7" Voice coils for HF. All hardware and flyware is included in the design, no extra parts needed except quick release pin for setting angles and for connecting speakers together in an array. With an average sensitivity of 105,5 dB, and with a 3500W continous power handling (cardioid version 4900W) the PLA2124631 can achieve astounding high SPL with ease, and still maintain very low distortion levels, with extreme clarity.
		PLA215S 2x15" flyable line array subwoofer Designed to be flewn several in a seperate subwoofer aray, or a few for extended LF frequency responce in a line array. The PLA215S is designed to be flewn with the PLA21021V2 line array and the PLA21021FR bumper frame. The two high-power 15" woofers has a very high sensitivity, this is needed to match the line array, giving the PLA215S a 103,5dB sensitivity in free space (4pI) with a max SPL of 140dB peak. avaliable in active and passive version, where the active version features a 2400W class-D amplifier with DSP and presets, with wide mains input and power factor correctioni.
